Sankore: The Pride of Mansa Musa
Overview
Sankore: The Pride of Mansa Musa is a dynamic, interactive mid-weight eurogame published by Osprey Games (2024), designed by Fabio Lopiano and Mandela Fernandez-Grandon. Set in 14th-century Timbuktu, players follow the rise in fortunes of the prestigious University of Sankore. By enrolling and graduating pupils, teaching classes, adding to curricula, and filling the great library with books, players advance knowledge in four disciplines: Theology, Law, Mathematics, and Astronomy. The game features worker placement, resource management, and a unique knowledge-track system. The player with the most prestige at game end wins.
