Sandwich

Overview

Sandwich is a light party game where players create wacky sandwiches from ingredient cards and then judge each other’s culinary creations. Players secretly build sandwiches by selecting ingredient cards, then reveal and present their sandwiches to the group. Other players rank the sandwiches from best to worst, awarding points to the most appealing (or deliberately absurd) creations. The player with the most points after several rounds wins.

Components

Setup

Shuffle the ingredient card deck. Deal a hand of ingredient cards to each player. Set up the scoring track. Determine the first player.

Turn Structure

Each round consists of:

  1. Sandwich Building: All players simultaneously select ingredient cards from their hand to create their sandwich. Players place cards face-down.
  2. Reveal: All players reveal their sandwich creations simultaneously.
  3. Presentation (optional): Players may describe or name their sandwiches for comedic effect.
  4. Judging: Each player ranks the other players’ sandwiches in order of preference (they cannot vote for their own).
  5. Scoring: Points are awarded based on rankings.
  6. Draw: Players draw new cards to refill their hands.
