Pueblo is a 3D building game for 2-4 players. Players stack colored building blocks on a grid board while a Chieftain figure patrols the perimeter. When the Chieftain can see a player’s colored blocks, that player scores penalty points. The goal is to hide your blocks as effectively as possible to have the lowest score.
| Component | Quantity |
|---|---|
| Game board (grid) | 1 |
| Colored building blocks (per player) | Sets of 3D pieces |
| Neutral building blocks | Multiple |
| Chieftain figure | 1 |
| Score track | 1 |
On your turn:
Place one of your 3D building blocks on the board. Blocks can be placed at ground level or stacked on top of existing blocks. Strategic placement hides your colored surfaces from the Chieftain’s view.
After placing your block, move the Chieftain 1-2 spaces along the board’s perimeter. The Chieftain examines the pueblo from the side and from above.
Any of your colored blocks visible to the Chieftain from their current position scores penalty points. Blocks visible from the side score 1 point each; blocks visible from above score 2 points each. Neutral-colored blocks never score penalties.
The game is a low-score game. After all blocks are placed, the player with the fewest penalty points wins.
| Visibility | Penalty |
|---|---|
| Side view | 1 point per visible block |
| Top view | 2 points per visible block |
| Win condition | Lowest total penalty points |
