Pandemic Legacy: Season 2 is a cooperative legacy campaign game set 71 years after a devastating plague. Players operate from floating havens, delivering supplies to a dwindling network of cities. Unlike Season 1 where you remove disease, here you add supply cubes to cities to prevent them from falling off the grid. The campaign spans 12 months with permanent changes between games.
On your turn, perform these steps in order:
Choose from available actions (see below).
Resolve any Epidemics immediately. Discard down to 7 cards if over limit.
Draw Infection cards equal to the infection rate. For each city drawn, remove 1 supply cube. If a city has no supply cubes, place an Incident marker (like an outbreak in Season 1).
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Drive/Sail | Move to an adjacent connected location |
| Direct Flight | Discard a card to fly to the named city |
| Charter Flight | Discard the card matching your city to fly anywhere |
| Deliver Supplies | Place supply cubes from your character card onto your current location |
| Pick Up Supplies | Take supply cubes from your location onto your character card |
| Make Supplies | Take 1 supply cube from the stockpile onto your character card (must be at a supply center) |
| Share Knowledge | Give/take a City card matching your current city to/from another player in the same city |
| Build Supply Center | Discard 5 cards of your city’s color to build a supply center |
| Recon | Discard specific cards at a supply center location to explore new areas of the world (reveal hidden map sections) |
Win: Complete the mandatory objective(s) and required number of optional objectives for the current month.
Lose conditions:
Campaign structure: Same as Season 1 – win a month to advance; lose and get one retry before moving on. Each game ends with production units spent on upgrades.
Supply cubes vs. Disease cubes: The core mechanic is inverted from Season 1. Instead of removing disease cubes, you add supply cubes to cities. When the infection deck draws a city, supplies are consumed (removed). Cities without supplies suffer incidents.
Recon: This action lets players discover new parts of the world. Specific card combinations at supply centers unlock packages that reveal new map sections, cities, and game content.
Produce Supplies cards: Special Player cards that, when drawn, allow a system-wide production phase where supply cubes are distributed to cities.
Exposure: Characters can become exposed to the plague under certain conditions, gaining exposure marks that carry forward between games.
Havens: Starting locations on the sea that serve as safe bases of operations.
Legacy elements: Stickers, packages, dossiers, and permanent modifications work identically to Season 1. The map gradually expands as players explore.
Prologue: New groups should play practice games using the Prologue card (simplified rules) before starting the campaign.
Game End: After each game, players check the Legacy deck, resolve game end cards, and spend production units on improvements.
| Phase | Action |
|---|---|
| 1. Actions | Perform 4 actions |
| 2. Draw | Draw 2 Player cards; resolve Epidemics |
| 3. Infect | Draw Infection cards; remove supply cubes from drawn cities |
Core difference from Season 1: You ADD supplies to cities (good). Infection REMOVES supplies (bad). No supplies = incidents (like outbreaks).
