My City

Overview

My City is a legacy tile-laying game where players build a city on their personal game boards over 24 episodes grouped into 8 chapters. Each episode, construction cards are revealed one at a time, and all players simultaneously place the matching building tile on their board. The game evolves with new rules and materials introduced via sealed envelopes each chapter, changing scoring and mechanics as you play through the campaign. An “Eternal Game” variant allows unlimited replays.

Components

Setup

  1. Each player takes a game board and places it in front of them.
  2. Sort building tiles by type; each player takes a matching set.
  3. Shuffle construction cards and place them as a draw pile.
  4. Open the envelope for the current chapter if starting a new one.
  5. Follow any additional setup instructions from the current episode.

Turn Structure

Each episode consists of multiple rounds:

  1. Reveal a construction card: Flip the top card face up.
  2. All players simultaneously: Find the matching building tile and place it on their game board, OR pass (set the tile aside).
  3. Repeat until all construction cards have been revealed.
