Mighty Warriors
Overview
Mighty Warriors is an introductory miniatures board game by Games Workshop from the early 1990s. Two players control either a band of Heroes (Noble Knight, Fearless Dwarf, Heroic Elf) or Skaven Ratmen (Chaos Wizard and Skaven Champions). Players move figures, engage in melee and missile combat, and attempt to capture the opponent’s shield. The game is played in alternating phases.

Setup
- Place the board between players.
- One player takes the Heroes, the other takes the Skaven.
- Place figures on starting positions.
- Each player places their shield on their side.
Turn Structure
Each round consists of phases:
- Magic Phase: The Chaos Wizard may cast spells.
- Movement Phase: Move figures.
- Missile Combat Phase: Resolve ranged attacks (bows, etc.).
- Melee Combat Phase: Resolve adjacent combat.
- Recovery Phase: Recover from stun effects.
Actions
Movement
- Move figures a number of spaces based on their movement value.
- Different figures have different speeds.
Combat
- Missile: Ranged attacks use dice; compare to hit target numbers.
- Melee: Adjacent figures fight; roll dice and compare combat values.
- Hits may wound or stun opponents.
Magic
- The Chaos Wizard can cast spells during the Magic Phase.
- Spells have various offensive and defensive effects.
Scoring / Victory Conditions
A player wins by capturing the opponent’s shield. Move one of your figures to the opponent’s shield location and claim it.
Special Rules & Edge Cases
- Each hero type has unique abilities.
- Stunned figures cannot act until recovered.
- The game is designed as an introductory product for younger players.
- Requires no additional purchases beyond the box contents.
