Overview
Lost Treasure is an electronic treasure-hunting board game by Parker Brothers. Players sail ships across a chain of islands searching for randomly hidden treasure caches using an Electronic Dive Control Center. The device assigns treasure locations randomly at the start of each game, ensuring a unique experience every time. The first player to earn $1,000,000 in treasure wins.
Components
- 1 Game board (24x24 grid divided into 64 sectors of 3x3 each)
- 1 Electronic Dive Control Center (requires 9-volt battery)
- 4 Ship tokens
- Play money
- Treasure claim tokens

Setup
- Insert a 9-volt battery into the Electronic Dive Control Center.
- Turn on the unit — it automatically randomizes treasure locations.
- Each player selects a ship and places it at a starting port.
- Each player receives starting money.
Turn Structure
On your turn:
- Move your ship across the board grid.
- Dive for treasure by pressing the Dive button on the Control Center when your ship is in a sector.
- The electronic device indicates whether treasure is present in that sector.
- If treasure is found, claim the sector and earn money.
- Continue searching or return to port.
Actions
- Sail: Move your ship to a new sector.
- Dive: Use the electronic device to search the current sector for treasure.
- Claim Treasure: If the device confirms treasure, mark the sector and collect the reward.
Scoring / Victory Conditions
The first player to accumulate $1,000,000 in found treasure wins.
Special Rules & Edge Cases
- The Electronic Dive Control Center randomizes locations each game — no two games are the same.
- Some sectors contain higher-value treasures than others.
- Players can strategically block opponents’ access to areas.
- The electronic component is essential — the game cannot be played without it.
- Battery required: 9-volt (not included).
