Loony Quest is a drawing/tracing game set in the world of Arkadia. Players study a level card, then draw on transparent screens to match targets and avoid obstacles. Screens are overlaid on the level to check accuracy. The player with the most Experience Points after completing all levels in a World wins the crown.
Each level follows three phases:
Step 1 — Play Pranks: Players may play Prank tokens (Broom, Banana, Mosquito) on opponents. Highest-scoring player assigns first, then descending order.
Step 2 — Mission: Flip the sand timer (30 seconds). All players simultaneously draw on their screens to complete the mission shown in the Challenge Box. Penalty token effects are active during drawing. When time expires, stop drawing.
Step 3 — Scoring: Highest-scoring player overlays their screen on the level first, checking drawing validity. Other players follow in descending score order.
After all levels in the World are played (including the Boss level), the player with the most XP wins.
| Token | Effect | |——-|——–| | Broom | Target opponent must draw with eyes closed for the first few seconds | | Banana | Placed on opponent’s screen — if drawing touches it, penalty | | Shield | Protects against one Prank played on you | | Mosquito | Target opponent must draw with their non-dominant hand | | XP | Worth bonus Experience Points |
| Token | Effect | |——-|——–| | Cyclops | Must close one eye while drawing | | Cramp | Must hold the pen in a fist | | Switch | Must use non-dominant hand | | Claw | Must grip pen between two fingers only | | Vortex | Must draw from the opposite side of the table |
Each level’s Challenge Box specifies the XP awarded for valid drawings. XP is tracked on the score track. After completing all levels in the chosen World, the player with the most XP wins.
Arcade Mode: More difficult variant with additional challenges.
Phase Order: Pranks → Draw (30 sec) → Score Drawing Types: Lines, Closed contours, Dots Validity: No touching, no branching, stay in frame Worlds: 1 (easiest) through 7 (hardest)
