Jungle Party is a sliding memory game for young players. The jungle gang is floating down the river, and players must remember which animals are hiding under bridges as they slide through river channels. Players move along a jungle path by correctly identifying animals, racing to reach the Toad King first.
Components
30 Animal Tiles
5 Friend Disks
4 Player Figures
4 Player Markers
1 Die with Stickers
Jungle Game Board
River Game Board (with 4 river channels and 8 open water sections)
Setup
Place the river game board flat in the blue plastic box insert. Put the jungle game board into the insert with the Toad King above the crown embossing.
Each player receives a player figure and player marker of the same color, plus selects one friend disk.
Place player figures on starting spots around the campfire.
Shuffle the 30 animal tiles and create two face-down piles (green leafy side up).
Draw 8 tiles; place 2 in front of each river channel at the suspension bridge side. Flip all 8 face-up.
Slide each tile into its respective channel (animal side up) so 4 are under the bridge and 4 show in the first open water section.
Beginner version: Play without friend disks.
Turn Structure
Play proceeds clockwise. The youngest player goes first.
On your turn:
Roll the die to determine which animal you are looking for.
Count how many times that animal appears on the visible tiles.
Advance your player figure that many spaces on the jungle path.
At certain path locations (suspension bridge, log bridge, waterfall stones), interact with the river channels.
Actions
Rolling and Counting
Roll the die showing an animal.
Count how many of that animal are visible in the open water sections.
Move your figure forward that many spaces.
River Interaction
At bridge crossings, slide a new animal tile into a river channel, pushing existing tiles forward.
The tile that slides out at the other end is removed.
Memory of which animals are under the bridges helps in later counting.
Friend Disks (Advanced)
Friend disks provide special abilities that can help during the game.
Scoring / Victory Conditions
The first player to reach the Toad King wins the game.
Special Rules & Edge Cases
Animals hidden under bridges cannot be seen but still need to be remembered for accurate counting.
The river has 4 separate channels – tiles in different channels are independent.
New tiles entering the river push old tiles along, changing what is visible.
