Imaginiff

Overview

Imaginiff is a party game where players answer hypothetical “Imagine if…” questions about each other (or well-known people). Players vote on which answer best fits the person being asked about, and those who vote with the majority move forward on the board. The first player to reach the Winner’s space wins the game.

Components

Setup

  1. Using the dry-erase marker, write the name of each player on one of the blank, numbered spaces on the game board.
  2. If there are fewer than 8 players, fill the empty spaces with names of people all players know (celebrities, fictional characters, etc.).
  3. Each player chooses a colored mover and the matching group of numbered voting cards (1-8).
  4. Place all movers on the START space.
  5. Place the ? token on the number 1 name space.
  6. Shuffle each set of question cards (by back color) separately and place them in three face-down piles near the board.
  7. The youngest player starts; play moves clockwise.

Important: At the end of every game, erase the names on the board so the ink does not set over time.

Turn Structure

On each turn:

  1. The active player rolls the die.
  2. The die indicates two things:
    • Color determines the question category (gray = Everybody, red = Choices, black = Versus).
    • Number determines how many spaces the question is worth.
  3. The player draws a card from the appropriate deck and reads the question aloud.
  4. All players (including the reader) secretly vote by placing a numbered card face down.
  5. When everyone has voted, all cards are revealed simultaneously.
  6. Every player who voted for the majority answer moves forward the number of spaces shown on the die.
