HitStory is a DVD-based music trivia board game where players test their knowledge of music and musical artists across six categories. The included DVD provides audio clips, pictures, and automated scoring, combining traditional board game play with multimedia elements. Players compete to collect cards from each category by correctly answering questions about music history, hits, and artists.

Setup
Place the game board centrally.
Insert the DVD into a player connected to a TV.
Shuffle question cards by category.
Each player selects a token and places it at the start.
Determine who goes first.
Turn Structure
On your turn:
Roll the die and move your token on the board.
Draw a question from the category indicated by the space you land on.
Answer the question — the DVD may play an audio clip, show an image, or present a video question.
Score — If correct, collect a card from that category. The DVD tracks scoring.

Answering Questions
Questions come from six categories covering different aspects of music knowledge.
Some questions are text-based from cards.

Collecting Categories
The goal is to collect cards from all six categories (or a set number, per variant).
Scoring / Victory Conditions
The first player to collect 3 cards from each of the six categories wins.
At the beginning of each turn, players roll the die and choose the corresponding question from the card or DVD content.
The DVD assists with scoring and tracking progress.
Special Rules & Edge Cases
DVD requirement: The game requires a DVD player and TV to function properly.
Audio questions: Some questions play music clips; players must identify the song, artist, or era.
