Overview
Dweebies is a card-matching game in which players place Dweebie cards on a shared grid and collect entire lines of cards by matching the Dweebie at both ends of a row or column. The player who collects the most cards wins.
Components
- 54 cards featuring 27 different Dweebies (each Dweebie appears 1-3 times in the deck, indicated by dots on the card)
Setup
- Shuffle the deck and deal each player 5 face-down cards. Look at your cards but keep them secret.
- Stack the remaining cards in a face-down draw pile within reach of all players.
Turn Structure
The person with the least amount of hair goes first. Play continues to the left. On your turn, perform these 3 steps in order:
- Place a card from your hand face up on the playing surface.
- Collect Dweebies if you made a match.
- Draw a card from the draw pile.
Actions
Placing Cards
- If no cards are in play, place your card in the center.
- Otherwise, place your card adjacent (above, below, left, or right) to an existing card. Diagonal placement is not allowed.
Collecting Dweebies
- Cards form lines going horizontally and vertically.
- If the Dweebie you placed at one end of a line matches the Dweebie at the other end of the same line, you collect all cards in that line (including both end cards). Place them face down in front of you.
- Matching Dweebies must be at the very ends of a line, not in the middle.
- You may not collect diagonal lines.
Keep Dweebies Together
- If collecting a line splits the remaining cards into disconnected groups, subsequent players must place cards to reconnect the groups by the shortest possible link before anyone may collect Dweebies again.
Drawing Cards
- Draw 1 card from the draw pile at the end of your turn.
- If you forget to draw, you may draw at any later time.
Scoring / Victory Conditions
When the draw pile runs out, players continue playing cards from their hands until everyone is out of cards. The player who has collected the most cards wins.
Special Rules & Edge Cases
- The number of dots under the Dweebie image on a card indicates how many copies of that Dweebie exist in the deck (1, 2, or 3).
- Cards must always be placed orthogonally adjacent to existing cards; never diagonally.
- No collecting is allowed while the Dweebie grid is split into disconnected groups. Players must bridge gaps first.
- If you forget to draw at end of turn, you may draw at any other time.

Collecting Rule: Match the Dweebie at both ends of a horizontal or vertical line to collect the entire line.
