Overview

Don’t Drop the Soap is a dark-humored, fast-paced card game of hot potato set in a prison shower. There are no winners, just one loser – the player who is forced to play a soap card. Players try to empty their hands or force others to pick up cards.

Components

Setup

  1. Someone takes the role of dealer.
  2. Give one soap card to the player with “the best butt.”
  3. Shuffle the deck and deal 5 cards to each player (4 cards if playing with 6 players).
  4. Place the deck face-down in the middle of the table.
  5. The player with the extra soap card has the first turn.

Turn Structure

On each turn:

  1. Play exactly one card from your hand into the discard pile.
  2. Resolve the card’s effect.
  3. You never draw a card from the deck unless forced to by a card effect.

Actions

Each card has a specific effect that must be resolved when played. Soap cards can only be played if you have no other options or cards to play.
