Overview

Die Dracheninsel (The Dragon Island) is a treasure-hunting adventure game where players navigate an island of colored terrain disks, forming partnerships to carry treasure back to their boats. Players use terrain and action cards to move, swap terrain, and interfere with opponents. The player with the most collected treasure at game’s end wins.

Components

Setup

  1. Place each of the 60 terrain disks on a board space with a matching-colored spot.
  2. Place each treasure hunter on its same-colored boat.
  3. Shuffle all terrain and action cards; deal 6 to each player. Remaining cards form the draw pile.
  4. Place the two 100 coins on the treasure site.
  5. Place both dragons next to the board.
  6. Select the initial active player randomly.

Turn Structure

On your turn, you may play any number of cards and take any number of actions in any order. The turn ends when:

At end of turn, draw cards to replenish hand to 6. Next player clockwise becomes active.

Weite Reise (Long Journey) Play a terrain card to move freely on that color for rest of turn
Angst & Schrecken (Fear & Loathing) Send any hunter/bearer back to its boat; separated bearer chooses to abandon or wait
Hinterhaltiger Angriff (Sneak Attack) Draw a random card from another player
Susser Schlummer (Sweet Slumber) Stop the active player’s last action and end their turn
Gegenzauber (Counter Magic) Block Sneak Attack, Sweet Slumber, or Fear & Loathing
Untreue (Unfaithful) Played during treasure collection to steal both coins
