Overview
Dice Forge is a dice-crafting game where players compete as heroes to gain the most Glory Points. Players physically modify their dice by snapping on new faces, then roll to gain Gold, Sun Shards, and Moon Shards. These resources are spent to acquire better die faces or perform powerful heroic feats that earn Glory Points. The player with the most Glory Points at the end wins.

Turn Structure
The game is divided into rounds. Each round, every player takes one turn as the active player (starting with the first player). Each turn has 4 consecutive steps:
Step 1: All Players Receive Divine Blessings
All players simultaneously roll both dice and apply effects (usually gaining resources). In a 2-player game, perform this step twice.
Step 2: The Active Player May Call for Reinforcements
If the active player has cards with reinforcement effects, they may activate each once, in any order.
Choose ONE of:
- A - Make an Offering to the Gods: Take one or more strictly different die faces from the Sanctuary, spending the required Gold for each. Immediately forge these new faces onto your dice.
- B - Perform a Heroic Feat: Spend the required resources, move your pawn to the corresponding island portal, take the top card and apply its instant effect (if any), then place it face-down in one of three piles based on effect type.
Spend 2 Sun Shards to perform one additional action (A or B from Step 3).
Actions
Divine Blessing
Roll both dice and apply their effects (gain resources). Occurs during Step 1, via card effects, and when ousted.
Minor Blessing
Roll one chosen die and apply its effect. Only occurs via card effects.
Forging a Die Face
Remove a face from your die using the new face as a lever. Attach the new face and place the removed face near your Inventory. Return the die showing the new face up.
Ousting Another Hero
If the active player moves to an occupied portal, the ousted player returns to their starting portal and immediately receives a Divine Blessing as compensation.
Heroic Feat Card Piles
- Pile 1: No permanent effect (just Glory Points)
- Pile 2: Permanent effects activated throughout the game under certain conditions
- Pile 3: Reinforcement effects activated during Step 2 when the owner is the active player
Scoring / Victory Conditions
At the end of the final round (round 9 for 2/4 players, round 10 for 3 players), scoring begins:
- Add all Glory Points from Heroic Feat cards
- Add Glory Points from Hero Inventory track
- Add any Glory Point tokens
The player with the most Glory Points wins. Ties are shared.
Special Rules & Edge Cases
- Players may handle their dice to inspect them but must return them in their original position.
- Forging is the only way to modify dice; you cannot rearrange faces or replace removed faces.
- A Hero pawn remains at its location until ousted or voluntarily moved.
- A player may perform any Heroic Feat, even one already performed (including during the same turn).
- If a resource track is maxed out, additional resources of that type are lost.
- If you reach 100 Glory Points, take a token and reset your marker to 0.
- A hero cannot perform a heroic feat if the corresponding card pile is empty.
- For extra variety, swap Heroic Feat card sets with their alternates.
