Crocodile Dentist is a simple children’s dexterity game. Players take turns pressing down the plastic teeth of a crocodile. One tooth is randomly set as the “sore tooth” – press it and the crocodile’s jaw snaps shut, eliminating that player. The last player remaining wins.
Components
1 plastic crocodile with spring-loaded jaw and multiple teeth
Setup
Open the crocodile’s mouth wide and press all teeth back into the upright position.
The crocodile randomly sets one tooth as the trigger.
The youngest player goes first. Play continues clockwise.
Turn Structure
On each turn, a player presses down one tooth of their choice.
Actions
Press a Tooth: Choose any upright tooth and press it down with your finger.
If the tooth is safe, nothing happens and play passes to the next player.
If the tooth is the sore tooth, the crocodile’s jaw snaps shut – that player is “chomped” and eliminated.
Scoring / Victory Conditions
The last player who has not been chomped wins the game.
Special Rules & Edge Cases
Each game has a randomly determined sore tooth, so the trigger changes every game.
After each game, open the crocodile’s mouth and reset all teeth to play again.
The game has no strategy component – it is purely luck-based suspense.
