Overview

Cluedo Master Detective (Clue Master Detective) is an expanded version of the classic Cluedo with more suspects, more rooms, more weapons, and the addition of Snoop Spaces. Players deduce who committed the murder, with which weapon, and in which room. The first to make a correct accusation wins.

Components

Setup

  1. Separate cards into suspects, weapons, and rooms.
  2. Shuffle each pile, take one from each and seal in the envelope.
  3. Shuffle remaining cards and deal evenly. Players mark their own cards in notebooks.
  4. Place suspects on starting spaces, weapons randomly in rooms.
  5. Miss Scarlet goes first; play clockwise.

Turn Structure

Same as classic Cluedo with the addition of Snoop Spaces:

  1. Roll dice, move your pawn.
  2. If you land on a Snoop Space, you may snoop (see Actions).
  3. If you enter a room, you may make a suggestion.
  4. You may make an accusation at any point on your turn.

Actions

Snoop

When landing on a Snoop Space (marked with a spyglass), choose any opponent and secretly look at one random card from their hand. Mark what you learn in your notebook and return the card.

Making a Suggestion

Same as classic Cluedo: name a suspect, weapon, and the room you occupy. Players clockwise try to disprove by showing one matching card. The named suspect and weapon are moved to the room.

Making an Accusation

Name a suspect, weapon, and room. Check the envelope secretly. If correct, you win. If wrong, you are eliminated but continue showing cards.

Secret Passages

Corner rooms may have secret passages connecting them diagonally.

Scoring / Victory Conditions

First player to correctly accuse the right suspect, weapon, and room wins.
