Careers is a classic board game where players pursue different career paths to achieve a secret personal success formula. Before the game begins, each player secretly writes down a combination of Fame, Fortune, and Happiness points that must total exactly 60. The first player to achieve their personal formula wins. Players travel around the outer track and enter career paths (like Hollywood, Big Business, Farming, etc.) to earn stars (Happiness), hearts (Fame), and dollars (Fortune).
On your turn, roll two dice and move your piece that many spaces clockwise around the outer track. Follow the instructions on the space you land on. When you reach an entrance to a career path, you may choose to enter it.
Career Paths: Each career (Hollywood, Big Business, Farming, Going to Sea, College, Expedition to the Moon, Ecology, etc.) is a side loop off the main track. Moving through a career path earns various combinations of Fame, Fortune, and Happiness. Some career paths require Experience cards or other prerequisites to enter.
The first player to achieve their secret success formula wins. A player wins when their accumulated Fame, Fortune (in thousands of dollars), and Happiness meet or exceed their self-set targets — and the three categories together total at least 60 points.
