Turn Structure
On your turn, perform these steps in order:
1. Set a Destination
Place your destination marker on any exploration tile on the board. This is where you are heading.
2. Travel
Draw movement cards one at a time. Each card may show:
- Safe passage: Continue traveling.
- Encounter: Must resolve an encounter (using your character’s abilities).
- Arrival: You reach your destination.
The number of movement cards you draw depends on the distance to your destination.
3. Encounter Resolution
When you encounter wildlife, bandits, or other challenges, use your character stats (Strength, Agility, Charisma, or Stamina) to resolve them. Roll the die and add your relevant ability score. Meet or exceed the target to succeed.
Success: Gain rewards (resources, ingredients, experience).
Failure: Suffer consequences (lose resources, return to village).
4. Destination Actions
When you arrive at your destination tile, flip it face-up (if not already revealed) and gain the listed benefit (resources, ingredients, or special effects).
5. Village Actions (if in village)
When in the village, you may:
- Trade with founders: Deliver specific combinations of resources/ingredients to Candamir, Osmund, or Jared in exchange for VP.
- Complete adventures: Fulfill adventure card requirements for VP.
- Buy equipment: Spend resources to gain equipment that boosts abilities.
