Overview

Battlelords CCG is a collectible card game based on the Battlelords of the 23rd Century science fiction RPG setting. Published by Optio Publishing, the game pits two players against each other in tactical military combat using customizable decks of cards representing soldiers, weapons, equipment, and tactics from the Battlelords universe. Players build squads of alien and human soldiers from multiple species and send them into missions against each other.

Components

Setup

Each player constructs a deck according to deck-building rules. Shuffle decks and draw opening hands. Determine first player. Place mission objectives.

Turn Structure

Each turn consists of:

  1. Draw Phase: Draw cards from your deck.
  2. Deployment Phase: Play soldier, weapon, and equipment cards.
  3. Mission Phase: Assign soldiers to missions.
  4. Combat Phase: Resolve combat between opposing forces.

Actions

Scoring / Victory Conditions

Players win by completing mission objectives or eliminating the opposing player’s forces. Completed missions earn victory points. The first player to reach the victory point threshold or eliminate all enemy soldiers wins.
