Overview

Auf die Nüsse! (Go Nuts!) is a family dice-rolling and set collection game for 2-4 players, published by AMIGO. Players take on the role of squirrels collecting nuts from the forest, rolling dice to place their squirrel figures on the board and then sending them into the forest to gather nut cards for their storehouses. The goal is to collect and sort the most nuts by variety.

Components

Setup

  1. Place the game board in the center of the table.
  2. Each player takes a set of squirrel figures and a storehouse board.
  3. Shuffle the nut cards and deal them onto the forest areas on the board.
  4. Place the dice within reach of all players.

Turn Structure

On your turn:

  1. Roll the dice: Roll all dice (white and green).
  2. Place squirrels: Combine one white die with one green die to determine a board space. Place a squirrel figure on the corresponding field.
  3. Continue or stop: You may choose to roll again and place more squirrels. However, if you roll a combination for a field already occupied by a squirrel (yours or an opponent’s), your turn ends immediately and you lose all squirrels placed this turn.
  4. Collect nuts: If you choose to stop, send your squirrels into the forest. If you have 2 or more squirrels in one of the lower forest areas, you may take the nut card from the display and add it to your storehouse.

Actions

Scoring / Victory Conditions

The game ends when a predetermined condition is met (typically when the nut card supply runs out).

Players count the nut cards in their storehouses. Scoring is based on the variety and number of nuts collected, with bonuses for complete sets of the same variety.

The player with the most points from their nut collection wins.
