Overview
Anchors Aweigh! (originally Alles an Bord?! in German) is a real-time board game published by Abacusspiele where players quickly decide what supplies they need for a sea journey and race to load their ships. The game combines speed, memory, and tactical decisions as players simultaneously grab equipment tiles from a shared pool. Each ship has room for twelve items, with four hidden under the deck.

- Player ship boards (one per player, with 12 equipment slots and 4 hidden deck slots)

- Journey cards (determining what equipment is needed)

Setup
- Give each player a ship board with room for 12 items (4 items hidden under the deck).
- Place all equipment tiles face-up in the center of the table within reach of all players.
- Prepare journey cards.
- Place colored goods tokens within reach.
Turn Structure
The game lasts 2 rounds, each with 2 phases:
Phase 1: Loading (Real-time)
- All players simultaneously race to fill their ships with equipment tiles.
- Players may only use one hand to grab tiles.
- Two colored goods must be placed in special slots on the ship.
Phase 2: Scoring
- Reveal journey requirements and score based on the equipment loaded.
Actions
Loading (Real-time Phase)
- Grab equipment tiles from the center pile using only one hand.
- Place tiles on your ship board to fill the 12 equipment slots.
- Strategically select tiles that match the upcoming journey’s requirements.
- You may also swap or return tiles during the loading phase.
Colored Goods
- Each ship has special slots for two colored goods.
- The correct colored goods are needed for scoring bonuses.
Scoring / Victory Conditions
After both rounds, players compare their loaded equipment to the journey requirements. Points are awarded for:
- Matching required equipment types
- Having correct colored goods
- Bonus points for complete sets
- Penalties for missing essential equipment
The player with the most points after 2 rounds wins.
Special Rules & Edge Cases
- One hand only: Players may only use one hand during the real-time loading phase.
- Hidden deck slots: 4 of the 12 equipment slots are hidden under the deck and not visible to opponents.
- Real-time chaos: The simultaneous grabbing creates frantic, competitive gameplay.
- 2-round structure: The game consists of exactly 2 rounds with 2 phases each.
