Overview

A Game of Thrones: Catan – Brotherhood of the Watch combines the Catan resource-trading system with the Night’s Watch theme. Players settle the Gift (the territory south of the Wall), collecting resources to build roads, settlements, and keeps. Meanwhile, wildlings threaten the Wall and must be repelled. The first player to reach 10 victory points wins.

Components

Setup

  1. Arrange terrain hexes and number tokens per setup guide (or randomly).
  2. Each player places 2 initial settlements and 2 roads.
  3. Collect starting resources from hexes adjacent to second settlement.
  4. Place Tormund the Robber on the desert hex.
  5. Set up the Wall with guard positions.

Turn Structure

On your turn:

  1. Roll dice for resource production. All players collect resources from hexes matching the number rolled (if they have adjacent settlements/keeps).
  2. Trade with other players or with the supply (4:1 base, better ratios at trade routes).
  3. Build roads, settlements, keeps, or buy development cards.
  4. Wall defense – manage guards at the Wall against wildling threats.
